Black History Month

This month we celebrate us. This month we celebrate Black History Month. This month we celebrate our complex dichotomy of a beautiful traumatic lament, in the key of hope.

Oh how beautiful we are. We always were, now the light finally reveals what was always there. Oh, how beautiful we are.

Message from the PPLC Teachers, Staff, and administration to Mr. Dunlap:

Hats off to Thomas Dunlap for being selected as the 2020-2021 PPSB High School Teacher of the Year-Plaquemines Parish Learning Center! We are so very proud to have an educator from the Plaquemines Parish Learning Center receive this acknowledgement. Mr. Dunlap, we are so proud of you.

Thanks for all that you do each and every day at the Learning Center!

J. Vanison, Students, Faculty, and Staff

The Plaquemines Parish Learning Center is proud to have Thomas W. Dunlap, IV as the 2020-2021 PPSB High School Teacher of the Year.

Here are a few thoughts from Mr. Dunlap:

"I truly appreciate being acknowledged as this year's PPSB High School Teacher of the Year. It truly means a lot to me to have my hard work and passion for teaching recognized by so many great educators. I love teaching in this district, and especially at the Learning Center where I am challenged to be the very best that I can be every single day. I promise to bring my absolute best to regionals and beyond to represent Plaquemines in a way that will continue to show the rest of the State how we do business down here, and that we deserve the "A" rating our district has worked so hard to achieve."
